JW Engines has quickly become recognised as the place to cater for all of your classic road or race car engine needs. We have built engines and enjoyed success in various forms of motorsports, ranging from short oval series such as Incarods and classic Hot Rods, to the Mighty Mini circuit racing championship and various rally events.

We are a small family business experienced in a wide range of classic vehicles and engines. The company boss, James, spent 4 1/2 years building high performance Lotus Twin cam engines that raced successfully all over the UK and Europe. He also has a huge amount of experience in building fast road and race engines for Classic Mini’s, including his own which he has restored in our workshop. He also has experience in building Coventry Climax FWE engines, Honda VTEC and even Chevrolet V8’s
James’s father Chris also brings a wealth of knowledge and experience into the company. Chris had a highly successful rallying career back in the 80’s and early 90’s campaigning his Mini and later, Vauxhall Chevette HS. Both cars and engines he built and developed himself.
